Dr. Perlman took the time to assemble amazing stories from friends and professionals in the field, and the personal investment shows in the book. The tone is one of inspiration and the stories touching and vivid. Time flew when I read my "assignments". The stories in this book do a fantastic job of giving the reader a birds-eye view of what the experience of global health is like on the ground. I loved this book.
