Ms. Nassif is an incredibly astute and dedicated writer and I have treasured the unfailing analysis and no-nonsense approach that is always present in her pieces. Despite what the previous review states, her work is not about blaming black men. It is about learning how to identify and reject the ways black women have been and continue to be manipulated, and to create habits that lead to well-being in all areas of one's life. Her writing is definitely not for those who wish to be coddled or to remain in a fantasy world about the state of the black community and its deplorable impact on black women.
